Localgiving is a registered charity whose mission is to strengthen UK communities by safeguarding the sustainability of the local voluntary sector. 

We help Grassroots organisations to diversify their income through online fundraising. We provide tools, training and advice to help local groups connect with supporters online, improve their digital skills and develop practical fundraising experience. We are also a leading advocate for the sector and work to raise awareness and support for local groups from the public, government and businesses.

Sponsor a charity

Help one or more local charities to raise funds and awareness online by sponsoring their annual Localgiving membership. We'll work with you to identify suitable charities in your area or, alternatively, arrange sponsorship for any eligible charities you may already be working with.

Socially Responsible investment

Each year, through our Incentivised Giving Programme, we run a calendar of national fundraising campaigns that give local charities the tools and support they need to raise money online.

By sponsoring a campaign, your business can help numerous local charities to develop practical fundraising skills  and raise much needed funding for their cause.

Over 150 charitable organisations across London are currently members of Localgiving and we have distributed over £275,000 in the last 12 months to organisations in London.

Localgiving has run a number of highly successful initiatives designed to assist businesses, grant makers and trusts to distribute funds to grassroots groups in an efficient and cost effective manner. These programmes leverage the funds through incentivising public donations - producing a sizable return on investment and maximising the number of groups benefitting.

Localgiving will develop a bespoke programme, enabling your organisation to build relationships with local charities and make a tangible difference to the communities in which you operate.

Campaign and achievements

Each October Localgiving runs its flagship campaign, #GrowYourTenner. Our 2015 campaign was part funded by the Cabinet Office and ran for 11 days, raising £630,000 with £250,000 worth of match funding.

Other campaign sponsors have included Experian, Nutmeg, and Making a Difference Locally.

Since we launched in 2009:

• Over £13m has been raised and distributed to our members across the UK, including £3m of match funding
• Over 5,000 charities and community groups have created a Localgiving page to raise donations
• More than 119,000 individuals have donated to a local charity or community group through the platform
• More than 2,800 fundraiser pages have been created to raise money for a local cause
• More than 15,000 monthly Direct Debit donations have been set up to provide long-term continuous support for local charities
