Drawing Room offers two versatile spaces for hire: a gallery and a more intimate study room, each located within a striking 1920s industrial building with high ceilings. There is also access to a small kitchen and toilet facilities. The gallery can be used for events such as fashion and film shoots, presentations, product launches, showcase events, corporate meetings and drinks parties. Drawing Room is a registered charity and hire fees directly help to support its activities.

 

The gallery comprises approximately 115 square metres with concrete floor and white walls, ideal for small to medium scale photographic shoots, product launches, rehearsals, filming, sample sales, and corporate events. The space can also be easily darkened for film screenings. Gallery 1 has a capacity of 120 seated for talks, 100 seated for dinner or 150 standing. The total running length of the walls is approximately 47 metres, which for an added fee can be extended by an additional 10 metres with an internal partition wall. 

 

The study room comprises 20 square metres and is equipped with foldable tables and benches, making it an ideal space for meetings and presentations. The space has proved convivial for day-time and evening talks, lectures, seminars and reading groups. The study room has a seating capacity of 15 as a meeting space with tables, and 25 as an intimate lecture room without tables.

There is access to a small basic kitchen adjacent to the gallery, as well as a bathroom that is partially accessible for disabled visitors. Please note that the kitchen is also used by artists working in Tannery Arts Studios, so users will need to be considerate of this. 

 

Free off-road parking is also available.

 

Their spaces are available to hire between exhibitions and during the summer months, and for short term hire during exhibitions on Mondays and evenings post 6pm, depending on requirements. The study room is also available during this time and depending on requirements and Drawing Room’s event programme can be used during regular opening hours from Tuesday to Sunday.

 

They pride ourselves in being flexible to suit your hire needs. They can offer you an exclusive experience of Drawing Room and access to other parts of the industrial building for purposes of photo or film shoots. Audio-visual equipment can be hired at an additional cost. Please note that Drawing Room cannot be hired by individual artists to exhibit their artwork and is not suitable for exercise classes.
