We aim to keep the London Bridge area firmly on the visitor map, encourage inward investment, and help local employees and residents make the most of the fabulous area they work in.
Developing a strong place identity
In 2013 Team London Bridge undertook a project to research and define the identity or 'brand' of London Bridge. As a result '
London Bridge Revealed' was developed and can be used by all stakeholders to promote the area in a cohesive, consistent way, revealing the many stories and secrets that London Bridge has to offer.
Providing a visitor website
Team London Bridge manages a website for visitors to the area,
atlondonbridge.com, to promote local businesses, events and news. It's compatible with desktop, tablet and mobile devices, and features business and leisure sections to profile these two important sides of the area's character.
Producing local guides
Our
London Bridge Map Guide is updated and reprinted on an annual basis. Also free to pick up, it showcases all local attractions and suggests areas to eat and drink locally. It is distributed to well over 400 Tourist Information Centres across England, hotels, cafes, attractions, and key London railway stations. Approx. 10,000 London Bridge Map Guides are picked up every month.
The
One Big Summer guide, produced in partnership with Better Bankside, South Bank London, Vauxhall One and Waterloo Quarter provides everything anyone would need to know about what's happening between the London Bridge and Vauxhall along the riverside. With 100,000 printed annually it promotes the wealth of attractions along the Thames and the packed summer events programme.
Employee orientation
Businesses moving into the area have all the help they could need from Team London Bridge. We offer free Blue Badge guided tours of the area for local employees, along with map guides, events guides, and the
DealCard loyalty card scheme. Our
business events also help to build local contact networks. Regular e-updates also provide a monthly run-down of what's happening locally.
Working in partnership
Team London Bridge work with our neighbouring BIDs, Southwark Council, the GLA, London & Partners, and other commercial partners to ensure that our area and its businesses are promoted strategically. Our London Bridge Marketing Group meet 3-4 times annually to share insights and opportunities.
Visitor orientation and attraction promotion
The
Riverside London app provides an up-to-the-minute events listing and local directory for people on the move in the London Bridge, Bankside and South Bank areas. Available for iphone and Android devices, it can be downloaded for free and is delivered in partnership with Better Bankside and SBEG.
Our
InfoBike is one of a trio operating along the south of the river between Tower Bridge and the London Eye. Staffed by two trained Information Officers, the InfoBike is operated in partnership with Better Bankside, SBEG and Impact Marketing. The InfoBike operates over spring and summer months and distributes maps and information about local attractions, helps with transport queries and provides London-wide information to visitors.
Supporting local events
Helping to ensure that interesting and vibrant activity is sustained in our area. For example, since 2006 we have sponsored the annual Totally Thames and Bermondsey Street Festivals.
Travel Trade
Team London Bridge are Gold Members (business and leisure) of London & Partners, ensuring our area is promoted to consumers and the travel trade through their wide programme of marketing initiatives.
