'Placeshaping' is a term used to describe the many ways in which stakeholders use their influence, powers, abilities and resources to work collectively to create places where people want to live, work and do business.
In different shapes and forms, Team London Bridge has delivered a
wide variety of 'Placeshaping' initiatives since 2006, including Pocket Plazas, Pocket Parks, Lighting, Community Gardens, Linear Gardens, Fresh Air Squares, and a Little Library, to name but a few. Shorter term interventions such as public art, signage and street greening have helped to transform our existing public places.
In 2016 Team London Bridge launched
The London Bridge Plan, a policy document that outlines the community's ambitions and aspirations for the area. This strategic vision is deliverable through partnership and future projects including
The Low Line, St Thomas Street Boulevard, The Thames Esplanade, and Culture Catalysed.
We will work with the local authority, developers, landowners, businesses and resident groups to deliver inspiring, world-class Placeshaping projects that are in-keeping with the culture, identity and character of London Bridge.
