Health, Happiness and Wellbeing in London Bridge Hive

On 27th November Team London Bridge collaborated with Thrive and the City to host a range of interactive and informative sessions on mental health, happiness and wellbeing in the workplace. The day's line up was made up of inspirational speakers, Mental Health First Aid Training, Yoga and a seminar addressing practical ways to implement workplace wellbeing initiatives.

What did we learn? Professionals and businesses are showing increased interest in introducing elements of wellbeing as part of daily culture in the workplace. We also faced some eye opening statistics surrounding alarmingly high rates of lack of sleep and anxiety symptoms, highlighting that these issues are more prevalent than ever. Our findings reiterate the importance of events like these to help support demand in the local community.

In addition to our annual Love Lunch sessions, which take place in September, we’re pleased to announce that Team London Bridge are introducing 'Mini Love Lunch' programme in January, with the aim to brighten up a month that many find challenging. The events schedule for Responsible Business seminars throughout the year will also start featuring ones that are particularly aimed at helping colleagues bring useful tools into their workplace to promote wellbeing.

Team London Bridge would like to thank all those who donated their time and energy to running the Thrive in the City sessions, and all who attended.

'Thrive in the City’ is a programme of events celebrating Mental Health in the City, curated in partnership with local London Bridge charities The Dragon CaféMinds@WorkThrive LondonBusiness Healthy, MIND and the City Mental Health Alliance. . Coinciding with the City Mental Health Alliance annual event at City Hall and the keynote speech by Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, Thrive in the City aims to provide a range of free sessions for workers and residents in the City to support mental wellbeing.
