Joined by special guest the Mayor of Southwark, Councillor Charlie Smith (and the Snow King and Queen!), the children carolled their way from Potters Fields Park along the riverside, showcasing a vivid display of Christmas themed lanterns, which were hand-made as part of the school's community engagement programme funded by Potters Fields Park Management, with local artist Helen Harrison from Arts Desire. Once the procession reached Hay's Galleria, a lively countdown commenced; building up to the switch-on of the Christmas lights.
The evening was brimming with community spirit, seeing local businesses
Jamie's Italian, Starbucks and
Café Piazza all contributing delicious festive treats and hot drinks to warm up the crowds on a particularly frosty evening.
