Team London Bridge are excited to announce that we have begun work on our first cycling-based initiative as part of the Low Emissions Neighbourhood (LEN) plan, with the aim to significantly increase the number of
people commuting, travelling and providing deliveries by bicycle in London Bridge.
Two cycling consultants have been commissioned to write a strategy
and action plan for area; Arun Khagram from MP Smarter Travel and Richard Lewis from ActivePlanning. Arun will be leading on the promotion and Richard will be focusing on
routes and safety.
We are looking for input from local businesses to help us
shape this plan, particularly from employees in office management,
sustainability or procurement roles.
Please RSVP
to attend on Tuesday 27 March, 12- 2PM. Lunch is provided. It will be at
the Artworks Classroom, 60 Weston Street.
This is part of our work
with businesses and authorities to reduce emissions and promote clean forms of
travel (the LEN). Other questions on our radar include:
- What novel forms of deliveries by bike are
available to use?
- What are the City of London doing on
consolidation?
- How successful has the GLA been in reducing
personal deliveries?
- What will St Thomas Street look like in June?

update on deliveries, servicing, better air and great places in London
Bridge.
