As part of our work to ever increase the
security and resilience of the Business Improvement District we
recently purchased Emergency Trauma Packs (ETPs) for four local organisations.
The ETP
scheme – initially set up by the City of London Police in 2017 and
now rolled out across the capital – involves storing specialist medical
supplies at strategic locations so they can be used by the emergency services, employees
or members of the public during mass casualty incidents. This is in line with
government guidance and is a recommendation from reviews into recent terrorist
attacks in the UK and abroad.
We’re
delighted that King’s College London, London Bridge Hotel, Southwark Council
and Potters Fields Park Management Trust took us up on the offer to join the
initiative and help protect our community.
