London Bridge Hospital’s Urgent Care Centre is an alternative to A&E for non-life threatening medical needs and minor conditions. Patients aged 18 and above can receive the urgent care they need 365 days a year, with no appointment required. We diagnose and treat a wide range of injuries and illnesses including:
• Sprains, fractures and sports injuries
• Minor head, neck, rib and back injuries
• Persistent heartburn and mild chest pain
Swift Diagnosis and Treatment
The Urgent Care Centre provides provide patients with rapid access to General Practitioners (GPs) and nurses. Patients are usually assessed by a nurse within 15 minutes of arriving and shortly after they will have an appointment with a GP. They are able to carry out the full range of essential blood tests to help diagnose everything from infections to cardiac events, within an hour. X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans and other complex diagnostic procedures are available in our adjacent London Bridge Hospital.
Expertise in emergency medicine
GPs and nurses with expertise in emergency medicine run the centre. Clinicians with this type
of experience are able to diagnose and treat any acute or underlying serious conditions.
Hospital admission. The team have the time and resources to determine the appropriate diagnostic tests and treatments. Should patients require further investigation, consultation or admission, a direct, seamless referral to the appropriate London Bridge Hospital consultant is available.
